We celebrated my and my sister’s birthday by having lunch with our family at Gubug Udang restaurant in Cibubur. It’s always great to have special occasion like this with the ones we love most.

While waiting outside the Orion Mandarijn cake store in Solo, I and Aya saw ‘Es Dawet’ seller and decided to try one. And It was great! What a perfect dessert to end our Solo culinary experience.

For our breakfast this morning, we went to ‘Pecel Solo’ the popular restaurant serving not only ‘sego pecel’ as its specialty, but alo several other popular javanese dishes such as ‘brongkos’, ‘garang asem’ or ‘rawon’. The unique setting of the restaurant complements the taste of culinary heritage.

Even though we have our rented car ready to take us go this morning, Rafif requested us to take the ‘Becak’ instead. And his request was justified, this traditional man-powered transportation is still a joy to ride.
