Heard from our driver that the Sangiran (the early man site), has just recently revamped, made us more interested to pay a visit. Located about 20km from Solo, the museum did not disappoint us. In fact, it ranks as one of the best museum we ever visited in Indonesia, I believe.
It offers rich of information on Sangiran site, and the history of earth and human beings. All is presented in nice way, complete with multimedia interactive presentation you normally find in much more advanced museum in Singapore, for example.
We left the museum feeling that the admission price of Rp. 3000 per person (about 30 cents in USD) is ridiculously-low considering the value of museum to us, especially to the kids.
