When we lived in Bontang, a small remote town in East Kalimantan, during our childhood times, we grew up in small, confined community where everybody knew each other, and were close like families.
One of those families who were close to us, is family of Shofwan Nasjurwan, who was one of my father’s best mates, and whose children used to skip the afternoon nap times together with us at our house.
So it was a pleasure for us to be invited to Oom Shofwan’s house and had lunch together along with our spouses and kids. Especially when the talks about old days and old friends was fueled with delicious ‘tekwan’ served by the host. Alhamdulillah, thanks for keeping this close knot together after all these years.
