I’m taking the kids walking along the Kuta alleys, showing them the life inside the busiest and most popular beach area in Bali. Aya and Rafif were quite surprised to see how ‘foreign’ Kuta night is, a scene more closer to western life that ours here in the east.
But what also surprised us is to see how empty the place was. Yes, it just passed the peak season of year end holidays, but still it’s Saturday night, we kind of expected there were more crowds. But it wasn’t. Probably the Mount Agung eruption effect.
But still, it’s still Kuta, with all colorful cultures blended into one. This is how Bali turned into right now, a melting pot of global cultures, brought by its visitors from around the world.
