I went out early this morning for a jog around hotel’s neighborhood in Manhattan.
I witnessed the rather eerily empty Manhattan, with many homeless sleeping and drunk people saying hello 🙂. I can smell the distinct odor of Manhattan. This add to the rather humid weather of New York summer time.

Between getting lost of navigation from my phone GPS and contemplating whether to run i Manhattan or Central Park, I finally decided to head west. The picture of me running along side the Hudson River would be good, I thought.
And it was. There were several nice spots I passed by. The Hudson Park by the side of river, where I met fellow joggers along. The majestic USS Intrepid, which is now a museum. And The Pier 83, the start place of Ferry Tour to see Statue of Liberty,. Both spots brought back nostalgic theme, as both we visited 2 years ago, during the winter of 2019.

I then ran back east to central Manhattan. Ran through Hell’s Kitchen area (which reminds me of Dream Theater’s song). Passed by Columbus Circle before running along the 9th Avenue, crossing blocks by blocks to arrive at 44th Street where my hotel is located.
In total I went 6.5 km with lots of photo stops. The pace was helped with the last segment where I pushed for run without a pause. Finally, I happily claimed the reward of halal/kosher Hot Dog for breakfast.
