Finally after 3+ hours drive from Amman, we arrived at Petra, one of the seven new wonders of the world (Click link for more stories and pics)
It’s an old ancient city built on rock formation since 2000 years BC, highly intelligent and artistic architecture.

Reaching the main structure of Petra is not an easy feat though. After that long drive, you need to walk around 3 kms there (unless you’re willing to pay USD40 for taking the horse carriage). But luckily the walk path is so scenic, so you’ll forget the distance as you’re busy taking pictures.

However, you need to remember that you have to walk back to the visitor centre on your way back. And it’s uphill while the excitement has died down. So prepare your physical condition if you decide to visit Petra. The good news is: it’s worth it!
