I’ve been eyeing for a golf swing tracer app for sometime. But yesterday, after short yet deep research, I finally bought one: Smooth Swing app on iOS.
I took it for my golf round today. It does the job. It traced my golf shot accurately, from a flush 7 iron, to a perfect fade from my driver. It traced my thin approach or sliced tee shots as well 🙂
What’s missing is the ability to measure the distance. That would make Smooth Swing almost as powerful as ShotLink used in PGA Tour. Or equal to the other pricier and subscription-based ShotTrace Pro. But since it only requires a reasonable one-time payment, I’m happy with my purchase!

Aside from the joy of tracing my shots, I was happy with my game today. Played solid from tee to green. However my putting let me down few times. But in the end, it didn’t really matter. As I won the wager against my buddies (and got revenge to Edwin who beat me the last time we played) through winning 3 of the last 4 holes from series of Pars. Happy!
