One of the best feature of Maybank Bali Marathon (MBM) is its Race Pack Collection event.

The Committee successfully turn what could be a mundane, full-of-queue and lengthy process into a festive event.

Held in Taman Bhagawan, near Benoa Bali, the process to collect the race pack is swift and easy. You barely have a queue. The staff were very proactive and attentive. In less than 5 minutes, we already got our race pack and running jersey collected.

This leave us ample time to enjoy the festive surrounding. Take pictures, shop some stuffs and get refreshments. For me, it’s kind a reunion time. I met a lot of friends who are either fellow runners, or former colleagues who are currently working in Maybank, the event’s main sponsor.

The only drawback of such great event was the traffic. The streets leading to Taman Bhagawan was jammed. Luckily we had our driver, so at least we didn’t have to walk or look for parking place. Which was difficult.

Never the less, kudos to the Committee. The hype for the event has started, and we can’t wait to start the race in high spirits!
