Trekking on Hooker Valley

Hooker Valley trekking group

On the first morning of our camper van adventure, we left early from our camp. By 06.30 am we already started 10 km trekking in Hooker Valley track, at Mount Cook National Park.

After group taking photo first of course. As the Whitehorse Camp, where we stayed overnight offers stunning view at the surrounding.

We wont be disappointed to bring our trekking gears (which most of them are new 😃), as the trekking was really fun. The track itself is very friendly. It’s “only” 5,1 km to arrive at our final destination in Hooker Lake. Make it 10km + walk in total. The elevation gain also only 251 meters, with only few tough climbings. The government also made the track very accessible with wooden path in some parts of the track. Those who are not used to trekking shouldn’t be worried.

The stunning landscape, the cool and fresh weather, and the fun companions, made the trail we left unforgettable.

So which of the favors of Allah will you deny?

I have no regrets to bring all of my photography equipments in that big back pack. Too bad drone is prohibited to fly here.
