Today we joined local tour to head to Pinnacles. Different to what I and Elok joined last year, we took the option of the one that visiting Yanchep Park, rather than the Lancelin Dunes. As it is the first time for Elok’s mother to visit Australia, we of course want her to see Australia’s iconic animals: the kangaroos and koalas.
Luckily today in Yanchep, we spotted them. The koalas is a bit underwhelming. As they. mostly stay at the top of the trees, and most of them are asleep. We know they’re nocturnal, but still… 🙂
The kangaroos, however, made up the slight disappointment. They came in groups (or families) and very kindly to pose for us, while basking themselves under winter sun.
After short visit to Yanchep, we continued our journey to Pinnacles desert. Although it’s already the third time I visit this natural phenomenon, I always feel intrigued and fascinated with the unique landscape of this place. I think Aya, Rafif and Mom also felt the same. As they quickly took out their phones and capture many pictures.

It’s too bad the visit is only limited to an hour. We, especially Rafif, felt is not enough. As he likes to do some sketches and his toys photography around the pinnacles. It’s too bad, but nothing we can do. Maybe to drive here by ourselves next time.

Before departing back to Perth through Swan Valley, the tour took us to Cervantes. A coastal little town, famously known as its lobster. We stopped by at the Lobster Shack restaurant, and paid for the upgrade of our meal from Fish N Chips to Lobster meal. Which didn’t disappoint us at all! As the lobster tastes so fresh, juicy and delicious.
Anoter nice little experience in West Australia.
