Time to leave festivity in busy, noisy and sometimes crazy New York for a while. Riding Amtrak southbound to Washington DC.

Such a change of scenery and atmosphere. The place is much quieter and less crowded. And to add, today it’s Christmas day. Most shops are closed.

Thank God the nearby supermarket is open, so we can do some shopping, so we can stay at our Air BNB home with plenty of food and supplies.

After such relatively manic and busy days in NY, this change of pace is much welcomed.
