It’s been a while since we had our Year End/New Year golf for Gemblung Golfers. The last time we had was in early 2022. At the very same course: Sedayu Indonesia Golf, PIK 2.

This time around, I asked two other long time friends to join our golf around. Both had crossed the path of their working career with us in Andersen/Ernst & Young Consulting business: Alvin and Chip.

For Chip, it’s quite special to see and play with him again, as the last time we had golf together was in the end of 2012. When we had our Year End golf in Damai Indah course.

The golf round itself was great. We’re faced with strong winds from the start of the round. Sometimes we had to club-up 2 clubs to get same distance. And a bit spin on the ball was heavily exaggerated by the wind.

So I didn’t start particularly great in first 9. But eventually played better in second 9. Too bad our round was abandoned in Hole 16, as there were lightning in the area. But in overall, I hit the ball much better than the last time I played during Prasmul tournament when I had the bad back

Nevertheless, it’s great to see all the old friends and play in such beautiful course and in dramatic condition. Should do this more often. Yeah, I know. I always said that 🤣
