Back to Perth, Back to Fremantle

Now it’s five of us in Freo

For the third time, I’m back in Perth. And also for the third time, I’m visiting Fremantle. This time with the kids and my mother-in-law.

When I and Elok went here last year for Elok’s 50th anniversary, we already thought it would be great to be back to Perth with the kids. As we love Perth’s slow-moving life, where the not-so-bustling city meets the charm of a quiet town.

And since Elok’s mother has never been to Australia, this time we tag her along.

Well, after lost our father-in-law last year, we tried to cheer her to come with us on our holidays. We took her to Semarang in December, and to Perth this time around. And in November we already bought her ticket to go with us to Bali. As long as she’s still healthy, I think it’s a pleasure for us to do so.

In Fremantle Sunday Market

As what we did in May last year, we rent a car and drive to Fremantle. We actually almost repeated visiting the spots we went to last year, except the Rainbow Container. As it is winter, and we bring Mom, which may be too tiring and chilly to walk and just to take picture there.

But this time, as we’re visiting on Sunday, we took the opportunity to visit Fremantle Market. And it’s actually quite an interesting place, as it offers many traditional sellers with their respective goods. From local foods, fruits, to handy craft and souvenirs. We had really good time here.

After spent a bit more than an hour in Fremantle Market, we again had lunch in Kailis, just next to Fremantle Harbor. I remember I posted an IG story last year, citing that “next time we will be back with the kids”. And Allah granted our wishes. So here we are. Visiting Perth with the kids, and be grateful to Allah for all of his kindness to allow this family holiday to happen.

We’re back in Kailis. Now with the kids and mom. Alhamdulillah
