Ashar at Masjid Merah Panjunan
Alhamdulillah, we got a chance to do our Sholat Ashar in Masjid Merah Panjunan (red mosque), Cirebon. The mosque was built in 1480 by Syarif Abdurahman, is famously known for its red brick wall, and showcasing the influence of China, European, Javanese culture. Batik Shopping!
Cirebon is famously known for its bright, vivid colored Batik, especially its Mega Mendung pattern. We’re doing Batik stores hopping and shopping today in Trusmi area, and got some good buys. Everybody’s happy! (Except the kids ☺️)
Brunch at Nasi Jamblang Bu Nur
It’s a bit early for lunch, but after visiting Kasepuhan we tried the famous Nasi Jamblang Bu Nur. It serves a lot of traditional Indonesian dishes in ‘jamblang’ leaves. I found it taste great, especially the tempe (fried soybean cake) and the sambal (chili sauce).
