I finally break the stride in swimming today. Opted for endurance than pace, I managed to swim 1.638m in an hour time. Or equal to 91 laps on my complex’s pool.
The technique was to use breast stroke than freestyle, and take a breath in every stroke. I used to take a breath in 2 strokes in either breast stroke or freestyle, so I oftenly breathless and it consumed more of my energy
By taking breath more often, I’m actually feeling hitting the stride and should be able to cover much more laps in one go.
As shown in the Fitbit app graph above, on the final third of my exercise (blue circle), I didn’t even stop swimming. I believe I do more than 24 laps. If I calculate roughly it’s one third of my distance today, it’s easily 546m of uninterrupted swimming. Not bad.
Why this stats important for me?
Hehe, I have a secret obsession to do thriatlon. Well maybe not the full triathlon, but a short one would do. That requires minimum 750m swim, 20km bike and 5km run. I’m not there yet, but I’m getting there.
After I’m confident with my swimming, next one is on the running. Talking about midlife crisis. LOL.

Hahaha. Now I did 1.6 km uninterrupted swimming last Saturday. Took 1 hour. My target is 2km next week hehehe
